AUTHENTIC:
Our flooring looks like gracefully aged antiques because we use the same period
tools and techniques used 300 years ago or more. Our craftsmen carefully select
character-grade lumber and work your choice of hand-planed and hand-distressed
textures and edge detailing into your flooring. Each plank in our hand-planed
series is signed by the artisan who literally hand-planes every square inch
of your floors surface. Each of our hand-planed series comes with a one plank
containing a solid bronze medallion of authenticity verifying that you have
installed a genuine Renaissance Old World Inc. floor.
THE USER-FRIENDLY FLOOR; NEARLY MAINTENANCE FREE:
The knots and character marks in the wood, the subtle tool marks, and the
careful distressing harmonize to create a floor that hides wear rather than
highlights it. The inevitable nicks, dents and scratches of real world living
are easily touched up with our Renaissance Patina Touch up Solution and blend
in to contribute to the beautiful aged patina. Re-coatable for generations,
our floors never need dusty heavy sanding to be refinished. We offer two finishes:
traditional Tung Oil, and wear resistant Catalyzed Water-born Polyurethane.
DYNAMIC & FLEXIBLE:
We serve up over 40 standard choices in these series as well as a generous
number of defined upgrades. In addition, we can do completely custom flooring
species, textures, sizes and finishes.

PLANK FLOORING Da Vinci Series The Da Vinci series manifests the sophisticated but subtle Old World Look of classic Old European Estates in a solid hardwood plank. Using period tools and techniques, each board is hand-planed and thoroughly sanded leaving a subtly uneven surface with a gentle pillowed edge. Like cleaning a window to reveal a beautiful view, hand-planing (as contrasted with hand-scraping), cleanly shears the wood fibers without crushing and scratching revealing more of the rich, natural vibrancy and beauty of the grain. Hand-rubbed stains, dyes, and glazes with a durable rock hard Swedish waterborne polyurethane satiny-matte finish bring each plank to a beautiful Old World Ambiance. PLANK FLOORING Micheangelo The Michelangelo series delivers a premium Old Country Look in a solid hardwood plank. Using period tools and techniques, each board is hand-planed leaving pronounced tool marks. Like cleaning a window to reveal a beautiful view, hand-planing (as contrasted with hand-scraping), cleanly shears the wood fibers without crushing and scratching revealing more of the rich, natural vibrancy and beauty of the grain. Hand-rubbed stains, dyes, and glazes with a durable rock hard Swedish waterborne polyurethane satin finish bring each plank to a beautiful Old World Ambiance. PLANK FLOORING Monet The Monet series gives affordable Old World Ambiance in a 7/16 thick Solid hardwood plank - perfect for applications where finished floor height needs to be minimized. A mini-chamfer edge provides plank definition and Two Century Distressing is added for wonderful time worn appearance. Traditional hand-rubbed glaze and Tung-oil finish each plank to a satiny warm antique glow. Monet planking is for glue down or staple down application. |
